The Linearity of Life

A family friend passed away this past Wednesday. I hadn't seen him in over a year and am now left wishing I had made more of an effort to do so in this past year.

My friend also lost her band's guitarist and friend to a heart attack yesterday. She is understandably stunned and saddened.

Life is linear. It marches on without waiting. There is no backing up, no do-overs. There is only now. So if life won't wait, why would we?
